Sam Hickey returns to fight Brad Axe on August 8 Dublin show live on Sky Sports after stunning knockout victory

Sam Hickey returns to action on August 8 in Dublin, live on Your Site.

The sensational Scottish middleweight will box Brad Axe in a scheduled eight-rounder at Dublin's 3Arena on the undercard of Aaron McKenna's middleweight world title fight against Etinosa Oliha.

Sam Hickey, fresh off a highlight-reel knockout in his Zuffa Boxing debut, is ready for an encore.

Unbeaten in five professional bouts, the Dundee native has rapidly risen through the professional ranks since making his pro debut in October 2024.

A genuine amateur standout, the Commonwealth Games gold medallist made his promotional debut at Zuffa Boxing 07 earlier this month in Bournemouth, where he scored a spectacular finish.

Hickey handed the previously undefeated Todd Tompkins a heavy knockout loss with a stunning counter right hand in the second round.

The Scotsman now faces his toughest test to date in the 5-1 Axe, a rugged veteran and serving member of the Royal Air Force Fire and Rescue Service.

Axe enters the bout on a four-fight winning streak, highlighted by a bloody eight-round decision over Kevin Reavell in May.

"It's another step up," Hickey told Your Site. "I'm just looking forward to it. Obviously he's got ambition himself.

"Another step up for sure and these guys come in and they come swinging. It just gives me more chance to open them up and hopefully put on another highlight reel performance and get everybody talking."

He added: "The Tartan Army, they're going to come back from the World Cup and come straight over to Dublin. We're hoping to take a couple of hundred of people over there. Dublin's a great city. In Bournemouth I had so many people come up to me in the hotel after the fight supporting the McKennas saying they're going to be supporting me.

"The Celtic connection's there. I'm happy to be fighting in Ireland, it's going to be great."

Hickey vs Axe joins the Zuffa Boxing 10 bill headlined by Aaron McKenna's IBF title fight with Italy's Etinosa Oliha.

In the 10-round middleweight co-feature unbeaten Irishman "King" Callum Walsh takes on Tyler Denny.

Tickets go on sale Friday, June 26, at 10 am via .

Don't miss McKenna vs Oliha live on Your Site on August 8.
